Ally McDonald and Ben Martin Each Win $50,000 for Charity Donation
with Spirit Charity Golf Title
TRINITY, Texas (October 7, 2019) — Spirit alumni, including LPGA and PGA Tour players, gathered for a day of fun and golf while raising money for charity in the inaugural Spirit Charity Challenge held today (Monday) at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, Texas. Stacy Lewis and Sam Saunders served as ambassadors for the event.

LPGA’s Ally McDonald and PGA Tour’s Ben Martin captured the championship and total of $100,000 to donate to their charity of choice.
McDonald donated her $50,000 to Itawamba Crossroads Ranch. When completed, the ranch will be a privately funded, non-profit residential community for high functioning special needs adults just north of Fulton, Miss.
The Spirit Golf Association has contributed more than $12 million to its charitable activities.
The Spirit Charity Challenge precedes the 2019 Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship, a premiere golf event featuring the world’s best men and women amateur golfers representing their respective countries in team and individual competitions, scheduled for Nov. 7-9 at Whispering Pines.
